New majority shareholder for
AB inventech A/S
The owners behind AB Inventech A/S are securing the company’s long-term future with a new partner, the Swedish private equity fund Alder.
The automation company AB Inventech A/S now has a new majority shareholder, the Swedish private equity fund Alder, which has acquired the majority shareholding as part of its first investment in Denmark.
Following the acquisition, the private equity fund owns 70% of AB Inventech A/S, while the current owners – the company’s founder Arne Bech and its CEO Niels Kirkegaard – are retaining a 30% stake.
This will help carry the company safely into the future, says CEO and partner Niels Kirkegaard:
“Everything remains the same in relation to our existing customers and business partners, but the new partnership will future-proof AB Inventech A/S. In so doing, we’re ensuring that Arne Bech’s life’s work which he founded back in 1989 continues to stand strong, not just in the coming years, but far into the future,” says Niels Kirkegaard.
Eyeing up new markets
Jonas Frick, founder and partner at Alder II AB, is looking forward to the new collaboration.
“We are impressed by the quality products and services supplied by AB Inventech A/S under Arne Bech’s and Niels Kirkegaard’s management.
The company has built up considerable expertise and insight into the manufacture of wind turbine blades, and we see a need for their know-how and technologies as wind turbine blade manufacture becomes increasingly complex.
We are keen to enter into partnership with the skilled management team at AB Inventech A/S to support them in their future international growth,” says Jonas Frick, co-founder and partner at Alder.
By partnering with the private equity fund Alder, AB Inventech A/S has established a significantly stronger position for itself in relation to increased internationalisation.
“With Alder as majority shareholder, we now have a strong and active partner with whom we can strengthen AB Inventech A/S’s presence on the international markets within automation solutions for the wind turbine industry. This will go a long way towards meeting the wishes of our international customers,” says Niels Kirkegaard.
Alder invests in Nordic companies that are making a positive contribution to the green transition and sustainable solutions in a world facing new and significant challenges, making the partnership between AB Inventech A/S and Alder a good match.
“We find that Alder shares many of the same values, and the new collaboration means that in future we will be able to sharpen our sustainability profile even further,” says CEO and partner Niels Kirkegaard from AB Inventech A/S.
